The Great Debate? I think not.
- The only debate is there isn't one. There is no logic or facts putting Boise against TCU this year, which to the denial of many critics, you can only look at LAST YEAR. Those are the only facts we have comparing the two teams. This year is only subjective based on wins. You can say Boise is better this year, you can say TCU is better this year. Thats the same exact thing that was being said last year at this time. In fact, everyone was saying TCU would beat Boise because of their "#1" defense. When it came down to it in the Fiesta Bowl, Boise won. Boise even showed they had the better defense in the big game. That is the only credible fact we have. All else is speculation and subjective. Boise won and they return practically their entire starting team. With that being said any logic put together would have to lead to that. Boise is the better team on their history and returning team. Ignore subjectivity and speculation because it leads nowhere.

"The Freak" who ruled the show
Tim Lincecum aka "The Freak", shut down the Rangers and brought the SF Giants their first World Series.
At Last.
At last, my Giants have done what I've been hoping for since I was 5 years old playing pee wee baseball. They won the World Series. They won convincingly. It brought emotion and nearly a tear to my eye. My Grandma Brehe, who passed away this year was an avid Giants fan and would be more excited than I am. I'm sure she saw the game. She even took me to Giants Spring Training in Phoenix when I was about 10 to meet Will Clark, my favorite player. The Giants are world champs!

Upset Saturday 10/30/10
Oregon(2) faces their potentially toughest game of the year at USC. The Ducks will be tested and this game will be tight through the first half. Ducks pull away in the 4th quarter for the win.
Undefeated Michigan St.(5) at Iowa(18). Biggest upset alert this weekend. Iowa to come away with the win at 35-24.
Missouri(6) at Nebraska(14). It will be interesting to see which Nebraska team shows up. Missouri looks strong and if Gabbert can move the ball with and keep the mistakes to a minimum they should get past Nebraska.
Auburn(1) is on the road at Ole Miss. Mississippi has been known to to pose a challenge to top ranked teams but Auburn cruises 31-17.
Boise State(3) on a bye week plays Hawaii on Nov. 6 at Bronco Stadium.

College Football Live-The Debate
The debate continues with Mel Kiper and Todd McShay going back and forth about who should be in the BCS National Championship game. Kiper thinks Boise playing Oregon would settle the great debate if Boise could win. That proves nothing! Boise has already beaten Oregon twice in two years. One of those was on the road with Kellen Moore as a sophomore. Last year Boise held Oregon to an insanely low 8 points. Boise State needs to play a big SEC team to satisfy the minds of analysts and critics. That being said I will say that Boise has already done what they needed to do to prove their case. They have won 2 Fiesta Bowls and this year took down their two strong AQ schools. What will it take to finally satisfy critics minds? Boise can only play who is on their schedule. Their so called "Body of Work" (superfluously used by Mark May) is what it is and can't change unless AQ conference schools are willing to schedule against them. Credit Virginia Tech and Oregon State for doing that. They went out on a limb because they know Boise is a top tier team and it would help them that much if they came out with a win. Other schools are yet to do that knowing that Boise can beat anyone regardless of the conference they come from or the "Body of Work" they have.
A blogger is born
This being my first blog and post let me give you a little background on how I ended up here at 2 am on a wednesday night- I'm not a computer guy, but a sometimes over-opinionated personality and an iMac got me here. And of course my love for college football landed me here. Let me explain for a minute-
I love sports and will do anything I can to watch my teams and follow the latest news. Let me give you an example:
My wife and I recently took a trip to Italy. My college football team (to be named shortly) was playing two games while we were on the trip. The first game against Wyoming was being played while we were over 20,000 feet up and crossing the Atlantic. I was unable to watch it, but as soon as we arrived in Milan I pulled out my phone and paid over $1 per minute to get on the web and check out the highlights and scores. That added up quick, but well worth the fees and dirty looks from my wife.
The second game played was against Oregon State and at that time we were in Rome. Thats an 8 hour time difference. That meant getting up at about 3 am to watch the game. No question about it, it had to be done. I set my alarm, got on my phone, and sat in the hotel lobby half awake staring at a delayed gamecast. My team went on to win but I ended up losing having only 3 hours of sleep. Once again, well worth it.
Now that team that I love..has a Bronco for a mascot, the longest winning streak in the nation, and plays on a blue field. Yes, thats Boise State. If you're not a fan don't stop reading. That is my team, but I enjoy watching all teams and good games regardless of the conference they play for. This blog is the place where I will share more publicly and hopefully reach more readers my opinion and perspective in the college football debate.
